Tiny Closet on Wheels
In the southeastern most tip of Baja California, I found myself camping with the very first friend I made during my van adventures, the self-proclaimed only gay man of vanlife (or truck camping). I first met Issac, a man of many rigs, when we both happened upon a vanlife camp in Joshua Tree where he was rigging up his ambulance with a flag pole to fly his wifi booster antenna. A year and a half and a new rig later, our roads aligned and diverge frequently in the cacti dense dramatic deserts, sometimes planned and other meetings kismet.
In Cabo Pulmo, camping on a friend’s land, I started to capture his experiences and reasons why he chose a nomadic lifestyle in what he calls his “Tiny Closet on Wheels.”
